Quotes from EDGE2015

Thank you for being such super event hosts and organisers.  I felt so well cared for and looked after, it was a delight to be a Speaker.  I very much enjoyed myself and really hope the audience took something from the session – a photo of Jackie’s final super graphic if nothing else… Jackie and I really did have a great time, thank you for asking me/us. I hope our paths do cross again. Bonnie Clarke Director for Scotland  Badenoch & Clark

Thank you very much for your invite to the conference.  It was really well organised and a pleasure to attend.  It, and the library service you represent, are a credit to your city. Keep sending me stories about the wonderful things you’re doing. Ian Anstice, Editor Public Library Blog

Many congratulations to the team for organising such an excellent conference. Martyn Wade Cilip

The Edge was fantastic and Lisa and Iain have been raving about the speakers on Friday too.   Sorry I had to shoot off on Friday morning but credit to you and all the staff involved in putting together such an excellent programme. Amina Shah – SLIC

Thank you very much for your wonderful vote of support and thanks towards Artefacto. Kate and I had such an excellent time at the EDGE conference, not least from the fantastic support and hospitality that you and the EDGE team provided us with. It was also brilliant to hear all the other speakers, and we particularly enjoyed listening to our digital cohort colleagues presentations, and learning about all the amazing things that Edinburgh is doing with open source and opening up heritage content – a real eye opener and made us excited to see that you and Edinburgh are really on the map with digital technology! Sara Wingate Gray & Kate Lomax – Artefacto

It is hard to put into words why EDGE is so different – it is a combination of the presenters/presentations, the group of delegates that you bring together and the atmosphere that is created. There is always an energy to the conference that I really don’t see anywhere else. In spite of challenging budgetary positions, the people attending EDGE seem to be bouncing and upbeat about libraries and their future which is so refreshing. Also, we did make some great contacts with prospective customers, which is really good for keeping our marketing folks interested in supporting future EDGE conferences.  Colin Carter – iii

This was my first time at Edge and I found it an excellent conference with thought-provoking and inspiring speakers. At our team meeting the following week, I made the case for having an ‘Ideas Box’ for the islands in Argyll & Bute – and also the more remote areas – as we have difficulty in providing a service in these areas. For the same reason, I also commended the idea of the Library Wall. Simple ideas, with a real impact. Thanks for a great conference.  EDGE Delegate

Another fantastically well organised conference with great quality presentations and a strong delegate list. EDGE always inspires and motivates. It is so good to attend a conference where everybody is so positive and creative in spite of challenging budgets. EDGE Delegate

I really appreciated the opportunity to be involved in such a great event. It was excellently organised as always and the organisers were flexible, friendly an accommodating at all times. The speakers were superb and the opportunity to engage with UK wide and International colleagues in a Scottish setting was extremely welcome. I have found myself sharing information about the speakers and projects with many people since. Well done to all involved!  EDGE Delegate
